HCM City Department of Tourism has launched the “50 golden days - Discover hospitable and vibrant HCM City” tourism promotion campaign to welcome tourists on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
Nearly 3 million tourists have visited Ha Noi since
the beginning of the year, a rise of 14 per cent year-on-year, according
to the city''s Department of Tourism.
Around 150 kinds of regionally distinguished fruits
will be sold on 50 boats at the "Fruit Floating Market" at the 2015
Southern Fruit Festival to be held early next month in HCM City, a press
briefing was told on Thursday.
The HCM City Department of Tourism and the Handicrafts and Wood
Industry Association of HCM City have instituted a handicrafts and gifts
design contest in which the theme is the city''s distinctive features.
A Department of Tourism will be set up to improve
management as the scale of operations in the industry continues to grow,
the deputy chairwoman of HCM City''s People''s Committee, Nguyen Thi
Hong, has said.
